Nope. It's nice to leave groceries in the truck and come back to find them untouched. |

How could anyone ever take a lunch break out on the prairies of Montana and not share a bit of your sandwich with your dogs who are setting there staring at you imploringly. It would be a hard hearted individual who could resist that.
Around home, I will occasionally spice up their kibble with some diced up meat item from our meals. They really seem to appreciate that and I can't imagine it doing any harm. |

My dog gets diarrhea if I change his diet anyway, so no go on the "human food". |

My dog doesn’t eat groceries left in the truck, or, dig in the garbage, either.
Simple matter of training.
Different subject.
Best,

I figured someone would make the "training" remark, and yes it is just that. Even allowing a dog to take anything you don't specifically give it is a bad idea since there are poisons out there, intentional and unintentional. Intentional? Yep. A good number of dogs were poisoned about an hour from my home, suspected poison bait left for wolves, but the bottom line is that about 15 dogs ate the scattered baits and died. Scrounging can lead to worse things than upset stomach. |

I caught my older Britt with her chin over the automatic kitchen trash can and once the lid was open, she did a canine mini-dumpster dive. She is past master at kitchen counter surfing and has made off with with several sandwiches which I failed to place out of her reach. Both she and Willa are pot and plate scrubbers to the extent that I should have named them Bosch 1 and Bosch 2. Gil |
