Anyone shoot a Velmet Lion O/U in 16ga ? I bought one built in 1949. 5 1/2 lbs. skeet and skeet. Have shot about 10,000 rounds through it. kicks but when trudging miles, hunting quail, it is sure nice to carry. |

oldbeek,
Welcome to the 16 forum, I do believe skeetTX is absolutely correct the Savage 330 and 333 are the same guns you are talking about. Nice light guns for Grouse and Quail hunting, they do kick a might for shooting clay!
Welcome aboard

You can load some light 7/8oz loads for shooting skeet in your featherweight gun. I load them for my featherweight LC Smith guns and they are much more comfortable and you get more loads out of that expensive bag of shot! |

RST makes wonderful 16-gauge loads in both 2 3/4 and 2 1/2-inch. |

I shoot the RST 2 1/2 / 7/8 x9s spreader load when in NSTRA competition. The birds are pen raised bobs and don't fly well sometimes. I am getting old and trip sometimes so I cant beat it up. It has seen 100s of miles. |

Where was this site last year??? I had to make the safety spring. Didn't know it was same as the savage 330. Spring is .125 wide , .015 thick. various curves and kinks. Item # 40 in Gunparts. I only have about 20 hrs time invested making it. Lees than $20.00 delivered. Thanks guys. |
