What gun, gauge and ammo type/brand do you use? Scope or iron sights? |

Shot a SB2 980 Ultra Slug Hunter H&R for a couple of decades. Lee 1oz key drive in AA hulls, WAA12 wads, 20gr700X.
Gave up the slug gun a couple years back for a XP100 in 30Bellm |

That’s pretty cool. What is the maximum range that gun is capable of? |

NEA Ultra Slug Hunter in 20 ga with a bull barrel. Wil simply eat the bullseye out of a target at 100 yds. I use Winchester Supreme gold sabot slugs, but even the old Rem. Sluggers-foster type slug shoots well at 100 yds, just a little lower. It will way outshoot my Rem. 1187 Special Purpose with fully rifled barrel and cantilever scope mount.
20 ga slug guns seem to be more accurate than 12 ga. |

Used to be a 12 gauge Deerslayer 26", with a peep.....whichever fosters worked best.
Tried a 2X scope, did not see an advantage for how and where I hunted.
Glad I missed much of the rifled barrel, sabot stuff. |

My go to is a fully rifled 12 gauge Benelli SBE with Zeiss scope.
Winchester Partition Gold Supremes, 2 3/4 inches work best.
My son uses a Browning A-Bolt with Lightfield Hybrid sabots with a Leopold shotgun scope. |
