To add to the confusion, I currently have primers in both the yellow/green and the pink/blue boxes. Both have the red film over the flash hole. I believe the yellow box is a few years older than the pink ones and this yellow box only says type 209 anywhere on it.
At one point it time, Cheddites were known to be slightly oversize like other Euro primers and after many complaints from US reloaders, I heard they adjusted their tooling and they are now similar to Winchester and Federal in diameter. |
