Acquired this full box in a local auction. There is no load information other than a sticker on the box. My Spanish doesn’t need to be real good because Remington pretty much put the same info on every US box.

Any guesses on what kind of load data I’m looking at? [Yes, I can cut open one round, but where’s the challenge in that? ]
Other questions: Is buck size ”0” the same as the US designation (.32”) ? When did Remington cease 2 9/16” production? |

Is there any info on a shell, like a dram equivalent or anything like that? 0 buck would be an odd size for 16 gauge. It would certainly work stacked in twos, but 00 buck works even better. |

Absolutely no load data anywhere, either on the box flap (pictured via the link) or on the shells. |

Interesting that there is no load data listed anywhere on the box,
Looks like they were loaded in Cuernavaca, a bit south south of Mex D.F. |

Back in the mid seventies, My Mexico Hunting License package would include a booklet of all Seasons and Limits for the Whole country. Frontpiece and back cover had Remington ads and below each species were the recommended Remington ammo and sizes.. Coyote and Banded Armadillo were Express #0.
I believe that ex Remington Cuernavaca plant is now Agulia.
Agulia 16ga shells are Identical side by side, unique crimp and all, with current green Remingtons except they are Maroon in color; They still use the "Power Piston" wad...
A cool find on a Baja shore once was a ribbed green 12 ga. hull reading "REMINGTON ALTA" on the high Brass base , and "3 3/4 36g 4" in white on the side... |

Funny-I was thinking armadillos and coyotes as well. Not many ‘dilloes here in VA, and I’ve got a few other choices for ‘yotes, but they are an interesting side item in my ammo stash..
Maybe someone with an older 16 with 2 9/16” chamber will be able to use them. |

Just went to GunBroker. No boxes in Spanish, but my eyes hurt when I saw some of the prices for red box “collectibles”.
These will be available to anyone from the 16ga forum for the price of shipment(and whatever kindness you might consider). |

Most 16 gauge buckshot has traditionally been number 1. Number 0 would just be 1 number difference. |

If they aren’t spoken for. I’d be interested. I have 4 short chambered auto 5’s that need to be fed. |

At least keep one shell and cut it open. Now we are all curious. While #1 buck is a good size for 16 gauge in a wad, true 0 buck will not stack in a wad unless it was something extremely thin. It would stack in 2's with no wad, but so does 00 buck. |

John is a class act folks. I received the shells yesterday. I can't bring myself to cut one open. |
