I am SURE I will get comment on this
I have been staying in a lot in the afternoons and evenings.
So have been playing out in the reloading/machine shop.
RST 2 1/2 inch paper hull,
Cheddite primer,
16.0 grains of Green Dot,
Remington SP wad,
7/8th ounce of shot,
6 point crimp.
Perfect crimps and GREAT on crazy and skeet.
Verified with 1927 GECO, Krieghoff Drilling, and Remington 3200.
Will try them in a couple of Winchester Model 12s, early A-5, Rem 1100 and Baikal IZH-27 in the near future.
Let the discussion begin
Mike
P.S. this is a small bit stouter than the 15.0 grain load and DR16 wad in the 2 3/4 hulls |

Here's one I've been loading lately:
7/8 oz.
RGL hull (2 3/4")
W209
CB-0078
15 grs. International Clays
It feels soft in my SxS's, but it does cycle my Remington 11.

Skeettx- let me know how this load works in your auto 5? I’m guessing this load would work with the cheddite paper also. |

Mike thats a nice load , I use basically the same load in a RGL hull with a R-16 wad . |

I had it tested with 16.0 gr. and Tom got 1250 fps.
My chronograph was giving 1225 fps.
I then tried 15.5 gr. and got 1185 fps. (my chronograph)
I'll check them out, but I'm most likely in the 1150 fps range all things considered.
I was surprised they cycled my Rem. 11. |

Went to skeet range this afternoon.
The paper hulls did wonderfully with the A-5 set
to light.

Just following up with Savage 16's question. Didn't mean to hijack your thread, skeetx. Sorry!
Today I chronographed 4 of the loads above with 15 grains of International Clays, and 4 more with 15 grains of Green Dot. I set up 3' from the screens.
15.0 gr. Int. Clays 1172 fps
15.0 gr Green Dot 1180 fps
Pleased with the results. The velocity is right where I want it to be for my doubles, and yet they still cycle my Remington 11. Also good to know for sure the powders are interchangeable on this load. |

Thanks for sharing, I would have never considered the RemSP wad for a 2.5” load. They are generally available at any given time, so that’s good if you get in a pinch supply wise. |
