Looks good Dave. Id forgotten how much nicer your Iside looks post UDF.

Thanks, Carl. UDF is the man!

My Iside has worked out really well for me. It really started with a 16 gauge Parker with 30" barrels. The Parker didn't fit, but despite the wrong fit and cast I could shoot it OK because those barrels just flowed so nice in my hands.

When I saw I could get an Iside w/30' tubes that fit, or could be easily made to fit, I had to see what I could do.

Rudy, sorry for taking the thread off point. I seem to be doing a lot of that lately. Embarassed

Anyway, the Isides haven't been out long enough to have a huge track record, but I haven't heard of any hiccups. I take some comfort in my own experiences with modern Italian guns. They have all been rock solid mechanically.

It's a SxS with a concave game rib, so if you are an aimer you might struggle. In my case it helps because it keeps my focus on the bird and there's less temptation to check.

I took delivery of a FAIR Iside today. IFG has been auctioning some Demo guns on GB, and was able to pick up a 20ga 26” barreled example. For the price I think it’s a nice gun. Might be a bit before I get out to shoot it.

Besides being a 20bore, it is also a single trigger. Oh well. Price was right, and it will most likely be a loaner gun for family members on preserve hunts. On the up side, wood looks good for this price, but could use a few coats of oil to really finish it. Weighs in under 5,5lbs. Will be using mostly 3/4oz loads due to weight.

Sounds like a perfect grouse gun, 16'er.
