For Sweet 16 lovers I ran across this listing of a New In Box Belgian A5 Browning with some modest hand engraving. I don’t know the first thing about A5’s so I don’t know if this is a good deal or not. But here is a link to the gun.

Wonderful gun, and Bilinski is swinging for the fence. Then again a collector might pay that much. |

They( collector) might be the only one. Sure like to know where people come up with their prices. Just because you over paid don’t mean everyone else should. |

It might be worth $5K+ just to compare 58 year old unused springs versus new springs. |

Unfired Auto 5s are occasionally seen on the market, but the ones I have seen come in at 1 to 2 thousand less than this example. Ouch.
For what it's worth, a late duck hunting friend of mine came by a Sweet 16 manufactured in the 60s new in the box back in the late 80s. I drooled on it a lot, probably reducing its value! He ended up trading it straight across for a new 20 gauge Ruger Red Label. And not to me. |

Could be a mis printed price....maybe its supposed to say 2500..
5500.00 is simply stupid. 2500.00 is at best far beyond any reasonable value. |

DannyPratt,
That was the 1st thing that came to mind when I saw the price, however even at 2,500 it's way over priced. You never know what a man with a lot of money might due when he sees something he really likes.

Asking price and actual sale price are often two VERY different things. |

hoashooter,
I agree I just purchased another L.C. Smith #5 double gun, for well over 5K and the 1st thing I did was ask the seller if he would take $500.00 less than his asking price. I wanted to see if the man was actually interested in selling the gun for a reasonable price. The asking price IMO was way too high.
I have found that there are some guns listed for sale, the owner really does not want to sell, they are put up for sale at a price that actually discourages purchase. Why people do this kind of thing, is hard to understand. It maybe that some of these sellers are using these kind of listings to help sell their other guns, in other words a way to get people to look at their other guns for sale for a lot less money.
