Did they use the pictured Gualandi wad (left) in the previous red hull loads?
If so, it would be interesting to see how the patterns compare. |

They used the gulandi short wad in the red hulls.
I haven’t patterned the purple ones yet.
Some #3 and a box of #7 arrive today. |

Order 4 boxes a couple weeks ago and got them pretty quick. They were out of the bulk bag, so I thought that would be good for now and give me chance to pattern them. Interested to see what your results are. |

Thanks to Boss, I just thought of another great use for all my empty shot bags!
Hint: There are few things worse than shells spilling from soggy cardboard shell boxes in the bottom of the duck boat.

Don’t get much better then that. You will have no excuses for any miss. Have you patterned any RST #5 out of same gun? Would be interesting to see the same pattern board. |

Emptymag,
Thank you for posting all three and thorough descriptions. Looks like the copper plating DOES make a significant difference.
Although I load my own, I bought some BOSS when it came out just because of the copper plating.

That looks like a Cheddite wad. I am not sure where you can get them in the U.S.

Did the hulls have a paper base wad like a federal purple hull or plastic like cheddite/rio/fiocchi?
Thanks for doing the research for us! |
