Thanks Rev...again.  I should print this out and pin one in my underwear.  I got the letter and the number backwards and upside down as well as inside out. However, somehow, through no fault of my own, I ended up with the right year on my gun. It is a 1960..and one of the good ones.
The other AyA model I mentioned was a D something gun probably D1, so it predated mine by a few years. It looked older as I remember. However, it was a real dog none the less.

| Have been shooting a 4/53 16ga for 3 years and love it. Only problem I had was the slick checkered butt. I moved around on my shoulder between shots. I had a pad put on and now it's perfect. Good luck. |
