Hi Al, I hope you're doing great - it's been awhile...
Here are the figures I got from the Browning historian a while ago:
1987 28" (no 26" that year), qty = 73
1988 26", qty = 36
28", qty = 48
1989 26", qty = 45
28", qty = 35
total 26" = 81
28" = 156
Grand total = 237
(I got one of the 28 inchers from '1988)
** the GRIII Uplands had a total production of 30 - wish I could get my paws on one of those! |

Thank you to everyone for the replies. It helps out a bunch. One question I still have is regarding production years. The owner indicated that he bought it new in 2005. Was there production in that time frame?
I have a 525, a lightning feather and a pair of grade 6 guns. Thinking a grade 3 might look nice in the mix. |

Can you picture the end of the box
This will help us determine lots of things
Please insure the box and gun have matching numbers

I do not have pictures of the box. I certainly will double check the box info and compare serial numbers. The pics are definitely of a grade 3 gun. |

Does your gun have grade 3 wood or does it also have the grade three engraving? If it is just a wood upgrade it could be a gran lightning. |
