Don't post much but lurk frequently and noticed the BPS excitement. This is good that Browning continues to step us for us. I wish we could persuade Bennelli to follw suit with a M2 in 16 gauge. The reason I say M2 is because if it is on a 16 gauge frame it should fall at about 6.5lbs between the sub 6lb. 20 gauge and 7lb. 12 gauge M2 models. This weight with the comfortech stock would help keep the recoil manageable. I have a Sweet Sixteen and a Citori 16 but would love to see a Benelli 16 gauge. Nothing against the Browning Golds but would rather see a Benneli. Do you think Bennelli could be persuaded and who would be interested? How could we facilitate this? |

I would rather have a Montefeltro than an M2. But I suspect it's wishful thinking in either case! |

Guys, if I did not go directly to a Browning management individual with my idea for a 16 ga BPS, it probably would not have happened. I backed up my request by directing the man to our web site. The enthusiasm he recognised for our favorite gauge and the overwhealmingly positive response and support Browning 16 ga. guns get here had a huge impact in his decision to pursue my idea. I'm daed certain of this.
I'm not bragging or claiming to be anyone special when I say I have now been the individual behind the inception or reintroduction of two very useful and desirable 16 ga items. It takes commitment and persistance, but it does work. I found out who in the company had some influence, contacted him, and put my idea and back up resoning tackfully on the table. I also was as politely persistant as daylight.
I have not been successful with all my requests-far from it. But I do know that you don't go for it, it certainly won't happen. So do some homework, brush up on your "Emily Post", and go after what you want. It does work. |

I'd rather set an nice upland set: One 16ga and onr true 28ga with straight stocks... Along these lines...
http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/worldClassElite.tpl
They should be able to get that 28ga right at 5lbs...
Or perhaps a two 16ga set. One for clays and one for upland???
Figured while we were wishing, why not go all the way! |

I'd like to have one in the M1 model. I seem to shoot it better than my M2. Something different about the trigger. |
