The M24 is one of those overlooked gems. A gentlemanly neighbor with a Brittany and a M24 took me under his wing as a fresh green sport and showed how a good dog and a well handled gun could absolutely rake in the pheasants. Those birds were down before I had even entertained the notion of mounting my gun.

In retrospect he evidently watched for signals from his dog and was poised for the flush. That M24 really did the job on those birds. He handled it fast as a saber.

Considered by some to be one of the ugliest guns ever made, right up there with my Stevens .410 Very Happy ! I've always kinda liked the 24's; passed on a 16 years ago and always wished I'd bought it. Too many guns to think about it now though. Very Happy

A friend shoots a 24 and is pretty good with it.
