A friend wants to get rid of some Win shcp. It might work in 16 ga. Any knowledge to share? |

It will work, probably with 3/4 and 7/8 oz. loads. I don't know of any source for reloading data in the 16 gauge though. Not sure it is worth paying for any testing unless you plan on using WSH for the long term. |

I used if for 7/8 loads for skeet shooting until
I had used all mine up. But I only had about 4 pounds.
Works fine.

My usual thought process is that if it's good for 1 1/.4 12ga, it's probably good for 1oz 16. It's the ht of the shot column that makes the requirement for powder speed, not the bore size. Bore sizes would set the amount of powder. so Win shc, one ounce only 80% of the powder as for 12ga 1 1/8. Pay attention to the variation brought on by primer, wads.hull,. But lately I'm shooting 7/8 to get life out of The cheap hulls tjhat are available.
