Interesting... any guesses on what that "unknown" 16ga is?

Definitely an earlier Stevens; 315 or 335 (don't have my reference books here)?

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Will Robinson. DANGER!! Laughing

I hope this gets the attention of you various lost in 16 gauge space travellers. Laughing

The Uncetta & Astra gun is being sold as is without a free look period and with a no return policy. According to the seller, its a consignment gun. Once paid for, he claims he will have to pay off the owner and will not take the gun back. HHHMMMMMM!!!!!

This one looks like its been built on the same type 1950-60 cheap generic Spanish frame used to build very inexpensive exports by a number of Spanish gun houses back then including AyA and Astra. It is the same type found on a very similar gun I bought last year. That gun was a junker and repeatedly doubled on me. The steel in the working parts was soft and overly subject to wear. Fortunately, the seller was a decent guy who did not really know how bad it was. He honestly returned every dime I paid without a problem. Ain't gonna happen with this one folks. you buy it, you own it. $500 minimum is a lot to gamble here IMO. What say you?

That Spanish gun scared me also. The German Emil Kerner looked interesting, except for that odd cheek-piece.

I like the Frenchy gun best, but the Osborne is sweet also! The Spanish gun looks okay fit and finish wise. But you would be taking a risk. I didn't read his terms. The unknown(Stevens) is the true bargain buy. Don't redo or redo the wood and you have a 16ga. sxs thats not made anymore with lots of condition. The Suhl gun is made great with very nice engraving, however the cheek piece looks like puke. Hardly think thats original. Just my take on 'em.
Take Care,

I was trying to be nice, but you said exactly what I was thinking about the cheek piece.
