The spotted hawk swoops by and accuses me, he complains of my gab and my loitering.
I too am not a bit tamed, I too am untranslatable,
I sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world.

Note, I added the last post because Mark's yell reminded me of the "barbaric yawp." Yes, I was the weirdo who actually enjoyed my American lit class. Embarassed

Dave Erickson,

Our high school didn't offer American Lit, the college curriculum at George J. Penney was Shakespeare and a class named News as Media.

News as Media was great because the prettiest (and also the nicest) girl in school was in that class, but I don't remember anything about Shakespeare!! LOL

Anyway, I missed out on all that good stuff. Time to catch up and learn some new things.

Painting a picture with words of what is felt on the prairie with dogs ,friends, sky, weather, and time, always leaves me lacking.

I'm not great at it either. I try on occasion, but I'm more comfortable with images. Had a great day Christmas eve, chasing chukars on a crystal clear, cold day in the uplands. Figured it was a good day to take my H&H 16 out. Ho ho ho!

Nothing better than hunting roosters in the snow. We finally got a little bit so I took yesterday off. The fun was over way too fast though

Watching the sun come up over serious desolation. Spent most of November and much of December hunting elk and deer in NW Colorado. Social distancing at its finest.

Last bird of the season on the last day. Marty (1 year 9 months) has come a long way this year. Great work, with a nice heads up point on an experienced rooster judging from the spurs. This was the oldest bird I have shot this year.

What a nice way to end my first hunting season living in ND.

Hey all, I haven't posted any pics of this years season, so I thought I'd do one big massive dump of how we did. There's quite a few here, hope you folks don't mind.

There is a mixture of both 16ga and 12ga guns. The first series are the ones from me followed by pics of my boys.

I'm going to start from the last day of the season to the first. So....bragging time!

Wow, Mr. Westberg! Thanks for all the great pics. You have quite a stable of guns. I don't know how you can decide which ones to take out. Clearly, you've made a huge commitment to the sport of hunting and wingshooting. I do what I can in those areas, but what you've been doing is only possible in my dreams. Very impressive! Congratulations and Best Wishes!

Thank you so much for the very kind words! They are much appreciated!

I do have a few more SxS's that aren't pictured here. I did take them out, but alas, no game was taken with them, so didn't take any pics.

I love SxS's and they are all I ever hunt with. I won't hunt with anything else. Just my personal preference.

Again, thanks so very much!

Best,

Greg
