Does a plastic/synthetic stock semi-auto 16 gauge exist? The new Browning sweet sixteen lightning is VERY tempting, but I tend to abuse my waterfowl gun. I would also feel a little guilty screwing in a sling swivel...

Join the club.

I do have a synthetic stock on a Benelli SS a shotgun I use for sporting and FITASC. It is over 13 years old and there isn't a mark on that stock......I can't say the same for any wood stocked gun I own.

But finding a synthetic stock for a 16 gauge is like looking for plastic silverware at a dinner party in Buckingham Palace. And most requests for such a stock will be met with that same air of elitism.

I feel the same way. I’ve been on the fence about a sweet 16 as well. Maybe if enough of us ask Browning to make a wicked wings version they will come out with one for 2022. the BPS 16 and 20 use the same stock. A year or two ago browning redesigned the 20ga bps stock and have several synthetic options but they haven’t yet made them available as parts only complete guns. When they do I will be getting a synthetic stock set for my 16 bps.

The 2000's era Remington 1100 were built on a 12ga frame. I can't remember if there was a synthetic version from the factory, but fitting a composite stock and forearm might be an option.

Of course finding one, and paying up the prices they seem to demand, plus the cost of the stock/forearm might be more than your willing to invest.

This will work just fine on a Remington 1100 in 16 gauge and the butt stock
has a swivel hole built in.

I wish I had bought a Jack West stock for my 1100-16 a long time ago. It seems Jack West is out of business.

I would imagine eBay, gunbroker etc. still might have a few for sale.

Remington 1100 on the 12ga frame with the wood swapped out with a set of butler creeks or similar is an option, an expensive option.

I havent been able to find a synthetic stock set for the tristar yet.
For the price I’ve considered buying a 12ga synthetic and the 16ga and swapping the stocks, if they fit.

My 16ga tristar is still on back order at the local gun shop.

Also I hunted a lot with a new style a5 a lot for 2 seasons. Added sling studs and all. It got kinda beat up. Biggest problem was it tipping over in the duck boat one morning and it bent the barrel slightly. the pattern board agreed and so did a few trap league scores.

I don’t think a straight a5 made into a wicked wing edition is the answer. They would have to beef it up some.
