There is no such thing as a bad model 12 as far as I'm concerned. Aside from a few running changes---chamber length, round vs square face bolt, slide action arm design and stock / slide configurations---they are all stoutly built and well-machined. The late 50's version is about as good as you can get. As a side note I don't know much about volumetric efficiency as pertains to shotguns but I am convinced that with the correct flux capacitor attached to your model 12 you can generate the requisite 1.21 Jigawatts necessary for time travel. |

Thank you everyone, I purchased the 1957 model 12 and have talked to a local gunsmith who will be doing the choke bore and forcing cone. I’m sure it will replace my grandpas model 12 and do nicely beside my sweet sixteen. Thanks Matt |
