Wingshooter has passed away this morning. He passed suddenly working outside with a neighbor.
He will be missed.
He was planning on a hunt this September in Montana with me.
Everyday is a gift!
You Flatwater shooters will remember him as TINY. HE was the steak grilling guru
at Flatwater.
Mike, R.I.P. |

This is terrible news Mike and I shared a passion for Manufrance Ideals. And I was lucky enough to hunt with him numerous times in the Sandhills of Nebraska. I had some great adventures with him. And some wonderful phone calls discussing life. He was a great guy. RIP. |

up here together a couple times chasing Ruffed Grouse.
Mike was here a couple other times chasing Ruffs also.
Last October he was here during the cold / snow snap of two weeks of December come October. Tough hunting but his new pup ( Am AMerican Britt & a very nice dog)
had success on pointing and retrieving Ruffed grouse. His Britt will make someone a fine hunter. |

I just learned the sad news, I am in shock.
I spoke with him just a few days ago.
He was telling me how he loved his job, his new property, and how he planned to work another ten years. |

This is really sad. I only knew him through the site, but he seemed a really solid guy, the kind of gentleman we all want to be.
May he rest in peace, in a happy place with no closed season, no bag limits and the dogs who went before him by his side. |

I am sorry to hear this bad news. My condolences to all who knew him. Mike and another member were instrumental in my acquiring an MF Ideal directly from France. While we never met face to face, we had numerous calls and emails during the process of my acquisition of a 16 ga. Ideal. RIP. Gil |
