Anyone know if barrels from the Winchester 101 will fit or can be fitted to the Sears Ted Williams version of the Winchester 101? Any information appreciated. |

12 gauge. Midwest wants the whole gun to fit the ejectors. Need two used ones and clips. |

Appreciate it. I will check with them. I am also getting an idea of what to pay for ejectors. I think I can eventually find a used pair that fits. I don’t think new ones are available any more. The 101seems a really fine shotgun. Another question: I have a Winchester 101 single barrel trap gun on the way. What would be involved in using the double barrels on the single barrel trap gun? I think the problem would be in getting the selective trigger mechanism working. Any advice appreciated. Possibly a job for Abe’s Gun Shop. |

Does the trigger not work at all?
If it works for the first barrel, you can select the upper barrel to shoot
first and that should allow the SBT to do good with first shot.
Temporarily , Plug the bottom chamber with an orange snap cap so you can not load it. You can trim the snap cap so the extractor will bypass it.

What is involved in fitting ejectors to a Win. 101? They are new, factory ejectors. Seem slightly too wide. |

They are too big. It is much easier to remove metal from an over sized part than to add it. I had an ejector break on one of my 12ga 101. No parts available then. Gun Smith welded it and gave it back to me to fit. It took a lot of filing but I got it to fit and it has functioned for the last 25 years. I bought a new set figuring that the weld would fail. I tried them and like yours, they were too big. I decided to leave well enough alone. I've go them just in case the ejector fails before I do.
I had an ejector break on my Ruger Red Label 12ga SC. Same thing. Part was oversized. 3-4 hours of carefully filing until they fit. Not fun but it can be done.
I suspect you could find a smith to do it If you've got the money and don't want the grief, I'd have a pro do it.

I use three cornered file for roughing and then a triangular stone for fitting,
Not hard, just attention to detail
IF you lived near to Amarillo, we would "GIT ER DONE !"
