MN had a early teal season this year. I wasn’t totally on board but made it out twice.
The first time I came home empty handed.
The second time I had 2 come to the decoys and found some on public land on the way home for a jump.
Even made it home before my youngest was out of his pj’s.

Didn’t get out as much as usual this year. Didn’t shoot as many birds as usual either with the drought.

Hunted a local point one morning and cleaned up empty hulls from some slob hunters.

Another good early hunt with the 16ga 870 and BOSS #5

16ga 870 shooting BOSS #3.
Late goose season ends tomorrow but it’s going to be around zero for a high so I’m done for the year. |

Also shot my first deer with a shotgun, the 870. I generally bow hunt or muzzleload. I had this guy come in the first 10min of shooting time and couldn’t resist for a first time shotgun deer.

Empty Great pics. I must say those slob hunters must have had a great spot or shot at every bird/animal they saw. That's a nice buck I just got to my camp in NY going to try and shoot a doe tomorrow with my caplock. Never killed one with it. |

Good job on cleaning up the empties. Every time I hit some timber company woods I like for grouse, hare or deer, I wind up finding and carting out a bundle of empty beer cans let by the heater hunters and ATV crowd. Bud Light, usually. |
