My wife and I attended our local Pheasants Forever banquet last night and we were among the Sponsors. I happened to win the Sponsor gun--a CZ 1012 Bronze 12 gauge semiauto. It's made by Huuglu in Turkey and we didn't get to handle it much as the paperwork must be done before it goes home with me.

It has a bronzed (cerakote?) type finish and appeared to have a 28" barrel and screw in chokes. I know almost nothing about these---does anyone have one? Thanks for any information.

WolfChief,

Congrats on winning your new shotgun, it is nice to luck out and get a new gun at these banquets. I have been lucky also and won a couple different shotguns at the HQ RGS banquets years ago. Enjoy your new gun, I passed mine on to a couple of the young men I was mentoring at that time with RGS. The gun you won is suppose to be a very nice gun!

all the best,

If the receiver is aluminum alloy, the bronze coloring is likely color anodizing. It gives a nice "candy apple" iridescent finish to aluminum alloys and can be done in a variety of hues.

Thanks for being a sponsor!

I feel attendance at these events are less than should be and “winning” is icing on the cake.

I Myself support pheasants forever but I rarely pheasant hunt, they do as much good around me if not more as far as public land acquisition or improvements as does ducks unlimited.
