I'm looking for loads using 700X - I fell into an 8 pounder of it and the price was very right.
I would prefer loads for 16 or 20 ga, preferably short (2.5 inch) hulls. If I can use fiber wads, so much the better.
I have a couple lower-pressure loads using it for the 12 ga.
I'm told this is a relatively fast powder, but hey, it is what it is. It's like the wise man said: "when the universe drops Cameron Diaz into your lap feeding you popcorn and showering you with kisses, you find a way to put up with her sh*t". |

Dave, I've got about 25 loads for 700x in 2 and 3/4 hulls in a Xcell spreadsheet. About half are "old" loads from Lyman's 1st or an undated Du Pont Handloader Guide and about half are from Hodgdon data that they posted on their website in 2007. I don't have any 2 and 1/2 inch data, per se. Let me know if you want what I have--Ill post it here or PM you with it. |

Yes I did have that 7/8 oz. 700-X load tested.
Really nice target load using #7 1/2 and it has also taken Sharptails and Huns this fall using #7 shot. |

Thanks!
The two with the short Cheddite hull - behind the link, where the folks at Precision Reloading tested them - look like winners, though the one is a bit hot, pressure-wise.
I have a mess of RST short Cheddite hulls and a bag of DR-16s looking at me, taking up space.
So far so good. Still, going to keep looking for more loads. |
