Oh I know Dave, I never thought that. We do pretty well where we go but only started there about 5 years ago. We’ve had as many as 29 flushes in one day but have also had days were we only moved 5 or 6. The beauty up there alone is enough reason to go, IMO. Looking forward to PA. Let me know what your schedule looks like and I’ll put my days in at work now. I have a wedding the 16th so I’ll miss opening day. |

Lloyd - A Jeff or a Richards, it's still a darn nice gun. And it's being put to the use it was meant for.
Actually I'm not so much shopping for myself as for my gunsmith friend, an expat Brit naturalized here. He has confessed a hankering for a 16. He was almost shy, ashamed even, when he admitted it. That, from a guy who hunts a Hussey. I did a little window shopping for him on the internet and sent it to him, getting "lead me not into temptation!" back from him. I think he may not have realized it just yet, but he's already hooked. Just a matter of reeling him in.
Purple shells will do that.
Have fun. Don't shoot the truck. There's a guy on another site (an occasionally here) who scattered shot across his own truck's door and will likely never live it down.... |

That’s what I’m hoping for at this point. What does your schedule like like that week? Will you be there all week? I’m think I’d like to leave here Thursday. |

Swampy16,
Remember this season for the 1st time we are able to hunt Grouse on 2 Sundays, we just checked with the Pa Game Commission to make sure this is true. The 2 Sundays to hunt Grouse are Nov 14 & Nov 21. No Woodcock Hunting on Sundays.
I will be at the Log Cabin training facility from the end of Sept thru Grouse season ending just before Christmas. Will return for the late Pheasant season also. Call to make sure 814-433-6151 before you come. I need to know your schedule to make sure there is room in the log cabin, bring your sleeping bag with you, guns, shells and dog/dog food if you have one, and your Pa hunting license.
all the best,
Pine Creek/Dave
