BOSS. Idaho WMA's are asking but not demanding non tox even for pheasants and quail. I have used Boss for a year and a half now in my 16. The pattern is very good and lethal.

I use only my reloads with NICE Shot. It is the RST non-tox load. Here are the specifics in Grams/cubic centimeter:
Steel 7.9
IYX 9
Bismuth 9.6
NICE 10.3
Lead 11.3
Heavy Shot 12
Like ITX and Bismuth, it is safe to shoot in SxS shotguns
I have loading data available. I have some NICE shot I would be willing to sell |

I use NICE Shot in my reloads.
It is more dense than Bismuth, ITX and Tungsten Matrix.
RST used it in their non tox loads
I have quite a lot of it that I would sell.

Kent Tungsten Matrix. Unfortunately, they are no longer made in 16 gauge.

Steel shot and bismuth are very effective, nontoxic shot choices.
I have been using steel shot for waterfowl since the early 1990s. For about the last 10 years, I have been using steel and more recently, bismuth for upland game. I have no need to inject toxic lead into the food that I eat and feed to my family. |

I don't want to INJECT toxins into the birds but I also do not want to ruin the barrels of the hundred year old Parker, which is why I don't shoot ball bearings. I'd still like to know if Nice shot is still available. |

I use steel 5's for pheasant, 7's for quail and dove. Both in factory and reloads. Have a few Kent bismuth 5's for ducks. No favorite factory loads. I buy what I can find. My reloads with nice shot have patterned the best and hit hard. Wish I had bought more Nice shot. |
