Anyone had luck lengthening the 16ga chamber for 2 3/4 shells? My understanding is the ejection port must be modified as well...
Any recommendations on a gunsmith, preferably in TX, for this?
Thanks,

fairly easy job . Both chamber and port get done . However , easier to just shoot RGL's which are a high % 25/8 , or get a trimmer and shortening hulls . Easy to reload . |

I use Briley for the most part, as I’m in TX as well. I do have a m12 20 gauge at Simmons, but this will be my first time using them. |

Have you actually tried contemporary shells in your M12, and they’ve not ejected?
The reason I ask is that I have the same shotgun - a nickel steel M12 16. To the best of my knowledge the ejection port has not been modified. But it will cycle/eject anything I run through it, even stuff that jams my old Browning (not sweet) 16 A5. The only mod I had done to mine was to have it opened to Skeet, from modified, by the now defunct outfit that had the rights to the PolyChoke (I didn’t have a PolyChoke put on it - but it’s a hell of a skeet gun now).
I’m sure you already have, but, if you haven’t, try to run modern 16 shells through it. Maybe it will work, like mine does.
