I got a roll crimper for experimentation and find that it's not as complicated as I had thought.

I'm on the low pressure group, but I thought I'd try you all first. Several of the LPG recipes that appeal to me are fold (not roll crimp), and I'd really like to roll them.

So, in general do roll crimps trend to higher or lower pressures... FWIW I'll have these tested before proceeding. But, I would like to have some confidence in success before making the samples.

I was always told roll crimps create less pressure.

All things being equal, a fold crimp will produce more chamber pressure than a roll crimp, generally in the area of 500 PSI.

As a general rule of thumb I always add an extra grain to a roll turn over as opposed to a crimp. We have used rto for many years in the UK

roll crimps generally produce lower pressures. BTW, I've had excellent results with Longshot. I's loud and it does have a flash in low light, but its pressures are low and its velocities age high.
