Thanks, and to you and all the 16ga.com folks as well.

So, Pheasant instead of Turkey...I can see that.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Take the time to watch and listen to Rush's true meaning of Thanksgiving video, if you have not seen it. Well worth while for the entire family.

Have a peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving, thanking God for all he has provided.

Remember to Say a special Thanks for those men and ladies who stand duty this Thanksgiving Day. Many of them are away from home and their loved ones protecting our way of life.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our members.

Yes, old family tradition.
When I was a very young man in Central Okla., on Thanksgiving morning our family and my grand parents would leave , with Grandpa and Grandma, and head to my uncles farm. It would be 0 dark thirty when we left home.
When we arrived, my uncle, dad grand pa and cousin would head to the field to hunt pheasant.
The women would go to fix salads, pies, etc. If we did not get birds, we had stuffing, salad and Pie.
Fortunately, we always got birds. When we got back the men would sit on the back porch and have whiskey and clean birds. My cousin and I would watch football.
I remember the first few years , my grandads shotgun that I was given was longer than I was tall.

Good memories.
