Added a bag of these in to my last BPI order to try. I know this is for a 12ga, but has anyone loaded them much before? Will they work I'm Rem or AA hulls, or are they relegated to European straight wall hulls?
Please PM me or post if you have some data to share, thanks! |

I have loaded disperser-x 16 and had good results, ballistic products should have the data for you.
If you tell the hull and preferred powder I will review my files and see what I can find for 12 ga |

Ideally AA HS or Rem hull, and I have clays and Longshot on hand currently |

I have used them to good success quail or ruffed grouse loads. I used Cheddite or Fiocchi hulls, but did use the longshot. |

Top secret: but that’s what RST uses in their spreader loads, and yes they work well. Have loaded a bunch and you won’t be disappointed. |

Do either of you have some load data? Or know if they work in rem or AA hulls? |

Lewis: rst’s are straight wall hulls and that’s what I load then in. I have never tried them in any other hull. I’m away from my load book but if I recall I used 15.5 gr of American Select. I was loading for one of my old sxs and was duplicating the RST load. I will be sending some more out for testing in the next month, I will include some of them and then will know for sure. I’m sure I patterned them. Don’t remember the exact results, but I have it somewhere. I have loaded other straight wall hulls down to 16 grains of clays, sure you could come up with something. That was with 1 oz of #9 for skeet field. FYI you will need a different drop tube if your using a mec. The cross section will get damaged in the wad if you try to push it down in the hull. You could always do by hand or make something.
Note: these are 2 1/2 hulls. |

Federal type hulls work the best for 1 1/8 oz loads . The AA only handle a 7/8 ,1oz and 1 1/16 oz loads with a fold crimp before you run out of room . You can load 7/8 oz 19.8 gr clays win 209 will crimp on a fired hull. As stated in previous post you generally have to change the 12gauge drop tube to a 20 gauge tube to keep the post from sticking on the wad post with a MEC loader unless you load it by hand. I use old Active hulls with 1 1/8 #8 & 9 with Win 209 and 26gr of Win super field with a fold crimp . |

Thanks for that info gents! I have a few straight wall hulls around, but was hoping I could get some of my thousands of AA and STS hulls some use |

Dug these up from a old BP AA manual DX spreader 700x 18gr win 209 1 1/8 oz 9200psi 1180fps I can't see this load fitting in a AA hull with a fold crimp ? DX spreader clays 18.8 win209 1oz 9299psi 1200fps DX spreader clays 19.6 win209 1oz 9900psi 1280fps . Old data and BP has had issues for me many times use some caution if you decide to try this data out . |
