Is there a decent manual for reloading 2-5/8 hulls?

Got an old Hogdons manual for cowboy shooting.

any thing else?

Thanks

2 5/8" is actually a 67MM hull.

You can play with that using some of the Euro hulls, such as Fiocchi.

You would be better off using 2 1/2" hulls and 2 1/2" loading data. There is a heck of a lot more of both.

I do have some tested loading data for 67MM Fiocchi hulls using CCI209 primers, 800-X, Unique and Universal if you are interested

Use Remington hulls and Hodgdon data for that hull

If you will measure the Rem hull, you will find it should do all you need.
Shocked

What shotgun are you loading for? and what shot weight do you wish?

I use Rem hulls for the Win Model 12 and the old Browning A-5.

I use Cheddite 2 1/2" hulls for my GECO and Krieghoff drilling.

For the other guns, any hull will work. Alcan, imperial, Win, Fed, Rem Activ, etc.

The nominal length of many 2 3/4" hulls is actually closer to 2 5/8", so I'm not sure how important that extra 1/16" to 1/8" really is.

I have found 2 3/4 inch data 1 ounce will almost always fit 2 1/2 and 2 5/8 loadings, particularly if roll crimping. When you try 1 1/8 2 3/4 data into a 2 5/8 you have to experiment what fits. It will most likely be roll crimping will again be important in fitting the longer hull data into a cut down hull.
