My 97 acts like it's not going in to battery. Bolt locks up but it won't fire. I can push up on the carrier and it will, I think it may be worn. Any suggestions welcomed. |

I assume the issue is with ammo and not just no ammo cycling??
Reloads or factory>
If factory, what brand?
I would assume the 97 is 2 9/16 or shorter chambered
Try 2 1/2 inch ammo
or factory Remington ammo

Not an ammo problem, does it when empty too. |

Did google and Yahoo searches, most of those sites I been to. I'd looked into sending it to a couple smiths, but none wanted to work on a 16. I think there are parts worn, just don't know what to look for or replace. |

which are on the side faces of the carrrier, they hold the carrier up for firing.
Also the recesses they fit into. [hopefully, these are not worn. |

At least now I know what to look for. I'll get back to you. |
