Well after the regular seasons close deer/duck and upland I hit the trail to a preserve with the dog as much as I can weather and $$$ permitting. I went Friday with my son ,my grandson and his cousin. Of course our two dogs Riley my sons Chessy and Cooper my GSP went. It was a balmy 15 degrees in the afternoon after a cold start 5 degrees in the morning. The other times I had gone already I shot a 16 but this time I took my Benelli 28. We had them put out 12 birds in very nice cover and ended up shooting 11, no misses never found the other. The kids got to flush the pointed birds and Riley actually locked up behind Cooper who had a rooster pointed.

Soggy Socks,
Looks like a great outing with the kids and the dogs and it looks like the 28 gauge was enough gun for the day.
all the best,
