not 16 ga related so delete if needed, I went to a local gun show looking for 16 ga, not finding any, found a German made Ortgies that I collect. its a pocket pistol made in the early 1920`s, some of you may know of it. anyway its very well engineered, no screws are used. anyway a dealer had one for sale in .32 auto, looked real rough, dirty, rusty, but matching numbers and intact grips. Took it home and all the rust pits turned out to be old old dirt. cleaned up great. happy happy. why these dealers don`t clean up their guns is beyond me. its normally a $300 - 400 gun, but there is one coming up for auction estimate is $60k. It has a gold insert in the slide and is engraved "Eva Braun"
Hitler gave it to her for a birthday present, it has normal wear from being carried in the bottom of her purse. There, you learned something new

Wonderful,

I just repaired an Ortgies back to good health and shooting capability.

https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/ortgies/pocket-semiauto-ort

I replaced 5 and 6 as they had been messed up by a bubba trying to reassemble the gun.

Fun gun

Mike

Curiously modern design. Can’t tell from the drawings, is it DA only? Doesn’t look like there is any way to uncock it.

yes DA only, its real smooth, and no way to decock it, it would never pass the current lawyer test. there is a hidden lever in the mag well to remove the grips, you see a lot of them broke from someone trying to pry them off
