I have found the website https://www.shootingbot.com/
Useful in searching for in stock components and in getting in stock notifications.
I used it to find primers and powders I was short. |

I can’t help but wonder if the manufacturers of these components are holding back production to keep prices inflated. I bought 5000 primers a couple of months ago for what amounted to $55 a box/1000 including shipping and hazmat fee which didn’t seem too outrageous, but to start out at $56 per 1000 and add hazmat and shipping on top of that seems a little much.
If we stopped buying this stuff every time it hit the shelf, there’d be plenty available and prices would drop… |

If you go to BP and click on the Chedd primers , BP has a disclaimer about the status of primers . Volativity of metals , shipping etc . There may be some barges stuck off shore somewhere , but I'm beginning to believe it is supply factors . Having said that , I REALLY don't believe anything around flake powders . The only powders that show up , recently , is ball powders . Have enough . Try to log onto Hodgdon's and get lined up for their powder over-runs , I'll think you'll be waiting a while ! .... OOOPPPPPSSS - out of stock at 10AM . they were still in stock 20 mins ago . when talking to them , they figured about 5-6 week cycle for new shipments , so keep that in mind . |
