So at lunch my wife tells me she met the new neighbors. A couple recently retired and looking to settle in our small town. Oh, I ask. What did they retire from? I forget what she said about the wife, as that was unimportant information. However, when she said he retired from Browning as an in house weaponsmith
Seems I need to get my new neighbor a house warming gift and get to know him. |

I would find out if a friendly bottle of brown liquid might help get maybe at least a favor

If he is just retired the last thing he will want to do is work . I retired 10 years ago after many years on the job . Work last thing on my mind. Be nice and tread carefully you may soften him up. |

I’m more inclined to hear his stories or the occasional advice. About the only thing I really need at the moment is help finishing my Marlin 90 stock (lost my shop area after moving down here) and figuring out why my scale won’t return to zero (it now rest empty on .6 grains). |

Since you moved the scale closer to the center of Earth, the gravitational pull is increased, That is really a stretch |

"Since you moved the scale closer to the center of Earth..." laughing....
I have one of those and (on mine) the round white foot pad under the opposite side from the pan levels the body to adjust the scale to -0-. I need to adjust it when moving back and forth from the metallic bench and shotshell benches. |
