I use Trulock and Colonial tubes in many of my guns, no complaints, cust service at both companies is very good. As anything related to chokes and how well they perform is the importance of time spent patterning the gun, choke, load combo to realize and understand efficacy.

Trulock has supplied me many of the chokes I use in 16 or 12.

Here is what I did once upon a long ago when i needed an I/M choke for my 12 ga. Rem 1100. I put a full choke tube in a lathe and opened it up to I/M. A very quick and easy job. Just remember... if you want to open it up by say .006", you are only cutting .003" with the cutter so it will measure the additional .006" across the opening. Best to make a few passes and measure as you go.

I imagine a choke reamer could also do the job...but I didn't own one back then and had access to the metal lathe.

Had my gunsmith do the exact same thing with a full choke tube for a Browning Citori 16ga. years ago. Must not have taken too long, he didn't charge me much and it was way cheaper than Briley wants for a custom made choke tube. After I got it home I filed an extra ID notch with a jewelers file.

I asked about the Trulocks is that they are priced right and available never used them before and I don't want to modify my Remchokes because in 16 gauge they are next to impossible to replace . Thanks for your replies.

I bought a White Lightning last year that came with three (F,M,IC) Midas grade standard Invector choke tubes. I ordered two skeet tubes from Trulock. They work great.

Ordered a Trulock IM tube for our 12ga 1100. It performed amazingly well but now rests quietly somewhere on the grassy plains in Montana.

After a long day in the field with pheasants everywhere and some even in the game pouch, the Trulock choke turned up missing. One too many fumbling choke swaps evidently.

With an incessant 20-40 MPH wind howling down from the mountains, those birds were up and gone so quickly that I switched to a lightweight 12ga SxS IC/M to get the drop on them as soon as they flushed out of the long prairie grass. Once they were up in the breeze they were gone. I estimated some of those birds were crossing downwind at upwards of 100 mph during the gusts. They were smaller and faster than those fat corn-fed Midwest roosters I was familiar with. Quite a day.

I use their extended chokes in my 16's and 12's including their turkey chokes. I have a couple of their flush chokes for a BPS 20 Invector Great sales on Black Friday. Good company.
