On the hunt to fill out my 16 battery. Any thoughts or advise on a Fair ISIDE sxs in 16 gauge at $2600 Canadian dollars . Also is this all Italian or does it have Turkey origins this would be a deal breaker for me.

Mine says right on the left barrel-100% Italian made. Guess they're kinda proud of that. Is it the base model that will cost you 2600 Canadian?

it is the inside model round body . They look nice but they seem to come up for resale often almost like nobody seems to take to them? They are not pricey compared to Beretta or Fausti . And we dealing 75 cents vs USA dollar .

The Iside comes in several price points. Iside, Iside EM, Iside Tartaruga Gold, Iside Gardena, Iside Prestige, Iside Prestige Tartartuga Gold and Iside Vintage. They are made in Brescia, Italy by F.A.I.R. FABRICA ARMI ISIDORO RIZZINI established in 1971.They are currently imported by IFG Italian Firearms Group in Texas. The two I have are very nice quality fit and finish, well balanced and I feel well worth cost.

My bet is the ones you see for resale are from people who struggle to shoot them well, not everyone can. They are light with a game rib. Some people, whether they admit it or not, need to look down a rib and they aim more than point. If that's your shooting style you'd best pass.

I like them and have three. Two 16's and a 28 gauge.

I commit 12 ga with one. Have shot Phez, sharptails, huns & Ruffs with it.
12 ga 30" EM level unit. It shoots where I look and am happy with it. Have a 28 ga Basic 28" that has taken its share or Ruffs and Huns & Sharptails.
For the price and flexibility of ordering one you cn get one from 26", 28", or 30" bbls.
from 12 ga to .410, order custom wood dimensions, upgraded wood, etc etc I feel they are a decent value.

I have a Rizzini FAIR Iside 16 gauge SxS. Got it because I was able to get it with the same features that I wanted on all my SxS (I am not a trditionalist). Pistol Grip Stock, 30" Barrels with Screw In Chokes and Single Trigger.

I bought it brand new from the guy that used to be one of the importers and had a shop in Texas. I paid $1,795.00 brand new, plus shipping, so it was under $2,000.00 USD. Maybe with the current market for firearms, it is worth more, but I would not think a lot.

I have put 150 rounds through it without an issue and will probably sell it as I don't shoot it.

Bob

Bob if you sell it please let me know. I know a guy....

Double triggers in the cold aren't all they are cracked up to be. But I shoot my 28" basic Iside on live birds better than most any other gun I own. Wish it was single trigger though and often 30"

Do have one of the first F.A.I.R. guns brought into the US a NEA 500 in 16 ga.

Have both a 28" bbl. which I normally use for hunting ruff and a 30" I use for clays. I have 3 F.A.I.R. guns 2 in 16 ga. Made by Isadoro Rizzini (F.A.I.R.) and lots of rounds through all of them. Never had any issues with any of them.

But for serious clays prefer B. Rizzini or Rizzini USA for one they are heavier which better suits clay games. I recall well when Battista (the B in B. Rizzini) sued his brother Isadoro (F.A.I.R.) for the rights to use the name Rizzini in the US.

I have 4 B. Rizzini shotguns, all for clays including a 32" Competition 16 ga.

Pay no attention to the Turkish made 12 ga. 32" Dickinson Plantation Sporting Arms target gun with an ISIS recoil system installed next to it. It is my serious clay killing machine when it comes out to play.

Like it so much have 30" Plantation Sporters in 20 ga. and of course 16 ga.

Also a Turkish made G2 Tristar Bronze for clays.

A lot more reliable than the Browning A5 Sweet 16 I have which is now regulated to just hunting. After I had Briley cut the barrel down to 23" and Uncle Dan Fan reshape the grip to how Browning should have to begin with it is a proper grouse gun.

But not a high volume clays gun. At least without breaking down and having issues. For high volume shooting I will stick with the Turkish Tristar if I am shooting a SA and feel the need for my hulls to hit the ground. Well then there is the rather large collection of Ithaca 37's in 16 ga. I have for that as well...

I don't need anymore guns let alone 16 ga. But since when did need have anything with it?! Like I said I know a guy if you do decide to sell....
