My hospital either! And I 100% agree on the neutering of a male with an undescended testicle for the same reason as eng-pointer. The offending cancer is usually Sertoli cell tumor. The Sertoli cells produce estrogen and can shut down the bone marrow if undetected for long enough. I've seen it. I also think that in most but not all cases, neutering severely curtails or stops marking. Not every time tho. I once had a Schnauzer that was neutered that would still breed. He was sterile of course, but the urge was there. |
