..been a while since I've posted here....
I always have music playing while I'm working thanks to Pandora and home speakers with an amp in my toolbox . The other day , a song came on that I'd never heard. I've heard of the Turnpike Troubadours , but am not too familiar with their songs. Something in the title caught my eye. It's a song called "the bird hunters". It basically tells the story of two close friends who grew up bird hunting in the country. One friend moves to the city and gets married. Long story short , it doesn't work out and he comes home. He and his friend pick up bird hunting right where they left off. There's a few lines in there about a Belgian made Browning and a setter.

I’ve always liked that song.

Also a mostly unknown singer, Adam Carol with “Erols Song”. I never was much if a duck hunter as a kid, but I get it…

I really like this band. I had tickets to see them in Toronto when they were touring with Miranda Lambert but they suddenly pulled out at the last minute. Bummed...

Anyway, they must have some appreciation for firearms because their album cover looks like gun engraving and if you listen the their song “the Housefire” the main character goes back into his burning house to retrieve a picture of his family and his grandfather’s Auto 5.
