I've bought a couple nice ones for under $400.

Uhhhh, Is this a trick question?

Per the original post the price was related to 2 9/16" chambered A5's.

Jeff---no the few 9'16 chamber lengths I have seen at auctions/gun shops usually bring a premium around here---Couldn't hardly believe the 400 dollar price----

UMMMM, why would the short chamber bring a higher value?

Look at the hundreds of guns marketed over the net in the last year and there is a pattern that reflects sales nationwide. Short chambers are a major drawback.

One can always find anomolies locally, and a few on the net but finding an exception does not change the rule.
