GWP16, Have you handled a Viper g2? Theyre much lighter than a 1100. The 16s are 6.5lbs or less. You may or may not like it because of that.
I rarely use anything tighter than IC in my single barrel guns including for pheasants right up to late late season.

If you do end up selling your 1100 and can get in the area of $2k why not consider getting a new Browning A5 SweetSixteen? I think the Sweet is a much better gun than the Viper and they weigh less than 6 lbs.
