Lyman #5 has Bizz loads in it - can't remember off hand if 572 is listed , but it might . Can save you some testing and eebie jeebies if they/it are !! |

Here is an update on my 65mm Bismuth load test with 572.....
Ched 65mm hull
Ched primer
20.0 Win 572
SG16S wad
425 grains Bismuth No. 5
6 point crimp at +/- .050"
Shot only 5 because it is $1/shot and I wanted to see if it's worth further testing
Avg FPS 1261
Ex Sp 43
SD 14
All in all not a horrible load. Reasonably dirty, and faster than I really want. I may try it at 19 grains of powder. I was surprised I got a 30fps jump by switching 1oz of lead on a SG16, to 425 grains on a SG16S..... |

Barnyard Drake,
Why can't Winchester 572 be used for Bismuth? It would be a nice fit for 1 oz. Bismuth loads.
|
Sorry. Haven't been on for a while.
No published loads and I'm not much for Wildcatting. |

I'd rather be using one of them right now. |
