I'm looking at buying some Fiocchi 16 ga. Dove Loads in #8 shot to use for sporting clays. They are the lowest priced shells of this type I can find online. I've shot a lot of Fiocchi Golden Pheasant loads over the years with very good results. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these Dove Loads?

They were light enough where my dad put his a5 on light setting to cycle. I traded him for boxes of his French winchesters that are only 67mm long, he don’t own a 2.5in 16 anymore. They killed doves just fine.

My wife has a flat of Fiocchi 1200 fps 16 gauge #8 dove loads that she'll shoot at sporting clays after shooting the remainder of a flat of Herters. It may be a while before she shoots them because she prefers and shoots her 20 gauge Grulla most of the time.

We've shot several flats of the Fiocchi 1200 fps 28 gauge #8 dove loads and they've shot fine. We've both broken clays and killed quail with them and I've also killed woodcock with them. As far as I'm concerned they are a good cartridge, in fact, we just bought 3 more flats of them last month.

Like Flychamps, I used to buy both 28 and 16ga from them. Once I got into reloading a lot I didnt want to also stock the Fio 616 primers so I quit buying them. If you dont reload,I'm sure you can sell the empties.

Crap! Before I could pull the trigger on a couple of flats they were sold out. You snooze, you lose!
