Surprising, as I have been told that the 12ga BPT are the same as AA's ?
What color are the hulls ?

Just before i jumped back into reloading for a Sweet, i did a lot of research, including ammo & availability. As has been said above, Browning is always overpriced & the joke is they are not making ANY ammo; its contracted out probably to the lowest bidder. The observation about deformed shot was a constant complaint also. The "old" Browning 16ga said "Not reloadable" right on the box. They went bang. I saw the "new", only because during the lull just about everything was unavailable, Browning (blacks) 16 available at $18/box at Bass Pro, minus the "not reloadable" warning. These are made in France, just like the new Herter's (blacks) ( thus Cheddites) , which also had their ammo made for them. Both of these should be reloadable using Ched data. I don't like the hull though on either of them. Very "stiff" like, brittle, like the old Rem Blackies. After reloading them 2-3 times crimp petals split.
Have you checked Ammo seek? When I did last summer only 1 page of 16ga ammo showed. Now there's 5! Just before Christmas a flat of Fio's went for $129 with other brands being pretty close to that. Far from what the creeps at Sportsman Warehouse say about the 16 being obsolete.

I just bought a couple flats of 16 ga. 1 oz. 7.5 shot Fiocchi Dove loads from Bud's Gun Shop online for $11.99 a box and free shipping. I would have preferred to have #8 shot but the 7.5's will be fine for some sporting clays.

Just got a call from Bud's and they only have 14 boxes available so I'm not getting two full flats. Sad Guess I'm glad to get what I can get under the current circumstances.

My Brownings were delivered today, cut one open, round, fairly uniform shiny shot, green disk shaped powder. Will see how they shoot.
