Went to the Dakota Territory’s Gun show today and scored 5 boxes of #5’s and 5 boxes of 6’s. Grand total for the 10 boxes was $120

I was using their copper plated 1 oz 6’s for bunny’s yesterday. Great ammo. Luckily I bought a flat right before everything fell off the cliff. |

Wow, 15.00 glad I'm not desperate. In fact yesterday friend called and said I've got 4 boxes of 16 gauge to give you . His father passed away few years back and said he had some 16 ga Remington Peter's 5' 6s to give you. I'll catch you for lunch Wednesday.
Tell you the truth I have so many older 16 ga. Ammo that people given me over the years I don't think I could use them up for couple years. Many take the old 57 primers. I have couple boxes of # 6 Remington 1-1/4 oz . Just lucky I guess. Bill |

Besides the price did you also notice that they are 2 1/2" shells? Those that have short chambered guns need short chambered shells. And more often than not low pressure which is why those are also labeled Light. Your old shells would have to be REALLY old to be 2 1/2" shells
The other RST 16 ga. loads that are almost impossible to find are 7/8 oz. Last year the Admiral was lamenting on the lack of availability of RST 7/8 16 ga. shells for grouse and woodcock hunting in Wi. So I loaded him up 550 of them although hated to see my supply of DR16 dwindle by that much.
He has thanked me several times and sent this picture not long ago thanking me it again.
It was worth it. Including the boxes and labels for them. Just didn't seem right giving a 2 Star Admiral shells in ziplock baggies LOL. |
