Anyone had these French 1oz winchesters pressure tested yet?
I have 6 cases now and have shot them in my post ww1 fluid steel guns, scared to use them in my pre ww1 guns without testing.
If not send me the link of test center and I will send out for testing haven’t yet done this?

The problem I see with having factory ammo pressure tested is the lot number you have now may be totally different than the next one.

Here is Tom Armbrust's information, he will test the loads for you:

or,

Here is the link for Precision Reloading LLC, they will also test the loads for you.

However what fn16ga said is true, buy another lot# of the same ammo and the game will probably change. If you are looking for chamber pressures below 8,000 PSI, I'd save my money. You'd have a better chance of finding a unicorn.

yes, I would shoot those in any fluid steel with 2 3/4" chambers.
I load my own 2 1/2" low pressure shells for my short chambered and damascus barreled guns. My guess is that they are upwards of 10,000 psi.

Both the new Herters and the Winchesters are made by Cheddite in France. Both shotshell boxes carry the CIP proofmark. That tells me I'd be surprised if they're very much over 10,000 psi. On the other hand, the velocity of both is listed as 1165 fps, which is the same as marked on most American made 1 oz 16ga boxes.

In any case, I'm 99% positive both the Wins and the Herters will test out the same. I'm pretty sure the color difference of the hulls won't have any impact.
