Wanted to buy
Working Nydar shotgun sight, preferably complete with the instructions, mounting bracket, leather case and original black box. Will consider partial pieces.
Thanks

there were two variations; a flat bottom, and a contoured bottom...which do you seek?
best regards,

Hmm..
I didn't know there were two styles. I am looking for one that screws into the rib of 1916 Parker Trojan. I think that would be the flat bottom. Our family used to have the sight for the Parker, but it has has disappeared in the last 40 years.
Thanks |

fourtown;
had to dig it out to be sure, but unfortunately, what i have is the contoured base model (model 47), i assume the contour is for a browning/fn auto 5 profile - but don't know for sure.
uses 4 screws, 2 front & 2 back, equal distances off the centerline - and angled in a bit for the contour. the actual sight is mounted onto the base, and would fit a flat base.
i've had this for 40+ years. bought it when they were fairly common to see at gunshows - just seemed like something neat to have.
it's newish (75 years old) in the black box, with all factory screws (and allen wrench in paper envelope), brochure, installation instructions, silver dollar sized leather cover for the lenses (with nydar on the face).
best regards,
tom |
