| Looking for Rem or Win brass,preferrably new. Can get privi partisan locally, but reviews arent great. Also would be interested in hearing experience on S&B and Norma brass. 100 count would be all I need. Thanks |

I use S&B ammo in the 16 x 8x57JRS O/U combo gun and it is outstanding in every respect. I save the brass but haven’t reloaded any yet, as the factory loads are more than hot enough, and extremely accurate.

What Brewster said about the S&B 8x57JRS. Out of my drilling those rounds will string holes at 100 yards off the bench.
I'm generally positively impressed with their ammo. I have heard/seen threads knocking their economical .22 LR, but the folks doing the knocking were serious competitive target shooters, so consider the source and the POV they viewed it from. |

Do the Norma and S&B take american LR primers?
Anyone know what S&B mean by" cut through" on their loaded ammo? Looks like I can buy their loaded ammo almost same price per round as just the brass?? |

I've shot quite a bit of S&B in 270 Win, 7x57 and 6.5x55. It's been good ammunition, takes LR primers and a lot easier to find than some of the others.
The 6.5x55 was my 6.5 way before the Creedmoor was ever heard of.

S&B has some pretty unique bullets, their "SPCE" - soft point cutting edge.
Those bullets have a "step" in their profile, a bit more than halfway from the point to the case. S&B says, in so many words, that the step helps with both expansion and opening a wound channel. They must work because S&B sells a lot of them.
I will say that, when shooting paper, the step acts like a wadcutter, leaving a nice, sharply defined hole in the target. |

"The Swede" has gotten lots of ink over the years too. Lots of talk about Scandinavian country's using it for moose. You say you've used quite a bit of the S&B, but are you using it on game? |

When I saw the step, I wondered if it acts like a wadcutter. Just odd enough of a design to have me wondering what happens on impact. |

They load a lot of different varieties of ammo, but do not import a lot of them into the US.
If you go to their home site at sellier-bellot.cz, as opposed to sellier-bellot.us, you'll see they make 16 ga shotgun shells in both plastic and paper hulls and in 70 mm, 67.5 mm and 65 mm lengths.

They have a whole array of shotgun shells, including 16 ga steel.

None of these, as far as I know, are imported into the US.
Their .cz website says they were bought by the Colt CZ group right before Christmas. This is the same group that bought Colt a while back. It is possible, I suppose, that the limited selection of products they import may change, but I'm not holding my breath on that. |
