My GF's dad only had one gun, a 16 gauge 870 he bought at the PX in Texas for $68 in 1964. He hunted everything with it - deer, ducks, pheasants, turkey, grouse, you name it. He gave it to her a year or so before he died, and one day her boys will have it too.

My dad only had one gun - an H&R bolt action 12 gauge with a polychoke on it. He gave it to me maybe 10 or so years ago.

I, however, am a different animal - not only do I love to hunt and shoot, but I'm also a collector. Do I need them all? No. Do I use them all? Also no.

My dad was a one gun man , he shot a Beretta S57E for a good while from 1977to 1990 when he traded it for a Beretta A303 Sporter that I still still enjoy on our nights on the Ducks , I am a guy that likes a bit of a variety one gun is never enough, my son is taking after me I think but is a traditionalist and still doesn't own an o/u , everyone to there own I guess, enjoy all you guns , but always beware the man with one gun . Depends on what life has to offer. Sometimes I'm down to just one or three, as is the case now, as I'm trying to finance a classic truck restoration, and sometimes a bunch. It's fluid. Ebb and flow is the spice of life Wink
