I just paid $118 for 25lbs of #8 and a 1lb can of Winchester WST. I have enough factory ammo and reloading supplies to get me through another Pandemic, but I still add to the pile from time to time out of an abundance of caution.

Depending on who gets elected in November we could see another great hoarding event. 2 1/2 years ago a sleeve of cheddites $114.00.
Pumpgun has had enough he is selling his guns and buying a membership at the local Pickle Ball Club.

Fiocchi had to shut down for two weeks because they couldn't get powder. That has nothing to do with American politics and everything to do with expanding conflict zones in Eastern Europe and the Mideast. It's a function of supply and demand for raw materials and military contracts.

So, it would be prudent to stock up a bit on the consumables now while we are at relatively reasonable supply and pricing levels. Just sayin'...

Powder will be the key here. The war in the Ukraine is being fought primarily with 155 mm artillery rounds. These require 20 lbs. of powder, each. We are supplying a lot of these. As a result, we are also in the process of quintupling production by the end of fiscal year 2026. Powder will be in short supply. Without powder, primers and shot become irrelevant commodities. I won't be surprised if shot prices come down some and primer prices come down a lot.

I agree on the military aspect. Probably why all the powder seems to come in one pound containers. I did see some 8lb GD and RD a few weeks ago at close to $400 .00.To think prices will drop I doubt it. They've got us hooked. We're still buying at covid /supply chain prices because we want to keep shooting. Nothing has dropped but they throw us the occasional free hazmat or shipping bone.
I hope I'm totally wrong Wyochukar. Hope for the best!

Well as the market plummeted world wide and hit the USA HARD the last thing I seen on the business Channel the petroleum price fell considerably. I know much food supply is beginning to fall sharply. Wife bought meat today half of the price last week. People cannot afford the high prices and stick Parksville goods aren't moving causing waste and spoilage. Maybe the monopolies are waking up to gouging.
